Polly McKenzie, also known as Mrs. McKenzie (born September 20, 1970) is a fictional character from the E4 coming-of-age British sitcom, The Inbetweeners, portrayed by Belinda Stewart-Wilson. She makes her first appearance during the pilot episode "First Day", that was first broadcasted on May 1, 2008. After this, she appears quite frequentlty in episodes, mainly being in just one scene. She has minor appearances in the two follow-up movies, The Inbetweeners Movie (2011) and The Inbetweeners 2 (2014).
Polly serves as a main character, due to being in many episodes. She is mostly-known for being the mother of Will McKenzie and being sexually appealing to students from Will's school.

Characterisation[]
Polly is a main character and a single mother, who had to move Will from a private school to a comprehensive school, since she could not afford the private school's fees, due to her husband divorcing her, yet told the school that Will was bullied, instead of the truth. Most of the people who are attracted to her are students from Rudge Park Comprehensive, which is also where Will goes to for school. Most students, who despise Will pretend that they like him in front of Polly.

Polly was shown the most in Series 1 and was shown to protect and care for Will. She seemed quite protective of her son. Her main purpose was to put you in Will's shoes and see the relate to your mother embarrassing you in front of your friends.
Series 1 (2008)[]
In Polly's first appearance, Will was narrating about things he wishes did not occur that did, which in this case was him saying that he wishes his father would not leave his mother in the episode First Day, but we will not count this because the viewer is not being properly introduced to her. Besides from what was just mentioned, Polly's first appearance was when she was picking Will up from his first day at his new school.
In the episode "Bunk Off", Polly punnished Will after he: Hit a disabled woman with a frisbee, stole his friend's father's clothing, bought alcohol illegally, bunked off school with his friends and insulted another friend's father, whilst he was drunk.
Series 2 (2009)[]
In the episode "Will's Birthday", Polly was introduced to Simon Cooper's foreign exchange, Patrice. It is most likely that Polly was interested in him, since she seemed quite awkward around him. Patrice also said that Polly was "sexy" and said that she "has the sex", but not in front of her.
Series 3 (2010)[]
In the episode "Will Is Home Alone", Polly went to Cotswolds with Fergus - an old friend, who she recently got back in touch after they somehow found eachother on Facebook. It is thought by one of Will's friends that whilst they went away, Polly and Fergus did sexual activities together, though this has not been proven.
Personality[]
She is Will McKenzie's attractive mother, who several of his classmates have stated their attraction to. Although she has financial problems, she attributes their house and school move to bullying. She's very protective of Will, almost to the point of fanaticism, mentioning things that are obviously embarrassing for poor Will. Polly is fairly oblivious to the goings-on in Will's personal life, including crucial things like the fact that Mark Donovan threatened to kill Will. She also doesn't seem to realise the effect she has on teenage boys, with the exception of Patrice, whom she shamelessly flirts with.

Will's mum appears noticeably younger than the other mums. She has wavy black hair, green eyes, and tends to wear clothing that shows off her curvaceous figure and is about 5ft 8

- Polly was only involved in one relationship throughout the course of the show, and that was Fergus in her last appearance.
- Jay and Neil once found an erotic youth magazine that had a model in it which they said looks exactly like Will's mum. When they show it to Will, he appears thoroughly shocked. It's never revealed what Polly does for a living.
