Mr. John Kennedy (born August 14, 1963), mainly referred to as Paedo Kennedy, is a fictional character from the E4 coming-of-age British sitcom, The Inbetweeners, portrayed by Waen Sheperd. He makes his appearance in the series' episodes "The Field Trip" and "The Fashion Show". Kennedy does not appear in any of The Inbetweeners movies.
Kennedy also managed to make it into The Inbetweeners - Series 3 Trailer.

In The Field Trip, while in Swanage, Kennedy took Neil Sutherland skinny dipping and bought him a bottle of vodka from the off-licence in return and to make sure he would not tell the teacher, Mr. Gilbert about the skinny dipping and avout the vodka. Later that night, Kennedy entered the boys' bedroom and inappropriately massages Neil's legs. Whilst this awkwardly sinister moment was happening, Gilbert walked in and escorted him out, and then gave the boys a death stare, warning them not to say anything about what just happened.
The Fashion Show[]

Kennedy is seen again at the ending of the episode "The Fashion Show", helping the models getting dressed. Neil was also helping the models dress and Kennedy tries to undress Neil (despite the fact the fashion show ended ten minutes earlier). After Neil told Kennedy that he was not a model in the fashion show, he said that he should be. Gilbert then arrives and escorts Kennedy outside, saying "I'm putting my fucking neck on the line for you, John." It is unknown whether he still works at the school after this, as he does not appear in the series again.

In the Series 3 trailer for The Inbetweeners, Kennedy is seen looking really mesmorised by Neil walking past him cooly and slowly in a way dancing, whilst he is eating a Greggs sausage roll. You know that Kennedy was interested because the music changed and there were slow-motion shots of Neil walking and Kennedy looking, with a close-up angle of his face.

Although it has not been proven, it is most likely that Kennedy is actually paedophile, like everyone states.
Kennedy is a sex addict, who is mainly seen targeting the underage, but that may just be because he is only seen doing that. He has a bigger interest in boys than girls, but still likes girls. Kennedy is most interested in Neil, out of everyone he is seen to like. Kennedy is also into oral sex, aswell as propper sex.
According to Simon Cooper, Kennedy was once caught in the school's music cupboard masturbating over the school orchestra. He made his debut in the episode "The Field Trip".

- Besides the incidents mentioned above, a staff meeting in the Rudge Park Yearbook cites numerous incidents of Gilbert telling Kennedy to be quiet when he mentions issues relating to his "sexual orientation". This could be due to the fact that they are friends, or the most likely explanation is that Gilbert wants to protect the school from bad publicity.
- Kennedy lost weight in his second appearance on the series.
- Because Kennedy has an interest in all genders, he is probably pansexual.
- In an error either in the script or production, Gilbert refers to Kennedy as "Tom" when ushering him away in the episode The Fashion Show, despite his name being John in other episodes.
